“My heart goes out to the victims and their families during this incredibly difficult time. I want to commend the swift and heroic actions of our law enforcement officers and first responders who bravely responded to the scene.”

Witnesses at the scene described a chaotic and terrifying ordeal as gunshots shattered the calm of a Friday morning in Fordyce.

David Rodriguez, a resident who witnessed the events firsthand, shared his account, saying, “It was like a nightmare. People were scrambling everywhere, just trying to find safety.”
