John Schneider and Dee Dee Sorvino Tie the Knot in Las Vegas

John Schneider and Dee Dee Sorvino marriage

The Dukes of Hazzard star John Schneider, 64, and Dee Dee Sorvino, 57, the widow of legendary actor Paul Sorvino, have tied the knot. The couple exchanged vows in a surprise ceremony in Las Vegas on July 23, 2024, just over a year after losing their respective spouses.

Schneider and Sorvino announced their union with joy and disbelief.

“Just when we thought our happiest days were forever behind us, we happened,” they shared in a joint statement.

Their spontaneous Las Vegas wedding took place at Vegas Weddings in the back of a white convertible previously owned by R&B star Usher.

Both Schneider and Sorvino have faced significant heartache in recent years. Schneider’s third wife, Alicia Allain, passed away in February 2023 at 53 after battling breast cancer.

Sorvino’s husband, Paul Sorvino, died in July 2022 at 83 from natural causes. The grief from these losses brought Schneider and Sorvino together.

Schneider, speaking in a May episode of the Grace Begins podcast, said, “God sent a widower to a widow and a widow to a widower. I was ready to give it all up, but then I met that crazy dame over there.”

The couple’s journey to happiness is a testament to resilience and the power of love. Schneider has often spoken about the deep bond he shared with his late wife, Alicia.

Following her death, he posted heartfelt tributes on social media, referring to her as “the fuel behind his biggest dreams” and “the glue that held him together.”

Similarly, Dee Dee Sorvino has consistently honored the memory of her late husband, Paul Sorvino. She has described their eight-year marriage as filled with joy, despite its brevity. In her statement following Paul’s death, Dee Dee emphasized his impact as both a performer and a loving partner.

The newlyweds plan to host an official wedding celebration on August 1, 2024, at the Hollywood Museum, where they first met. This upcoming event symbolizes not only their commitment to each other but also a tribute to their respective pasts.

Hollywood Museum president and founder Donelle Dadigan expressed excitement about the celebration, stating, “We are looking forward to celebrating Dee Dee and John, and their love for each other.”
