How Did Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman Stun Fans with ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’?
Comic-Con fans had a big surprise last night. Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman showed up in Hall H and presented their new film, Deadpool & Wolverine, without any prior announcement. This unexpected event thrilled everyone and kicked off the weekend with great excitement.
The screening event, called “The Ultimate Deadpool & Wolverine Celebration of Life,” included Reynolds, Jackman, director Shawn Levy, and Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige. The fans in Hall H cheered loudly as the stars came on stage. Reynolds and Jackman shared memories about their characters, making the night feel special and personal.
Ryan said, “I remember my first trip to Comic-Con with the original ‘Deadpool’ movie. I was the most nervous human being you would ever see. But I remember making that movie for you, and I remember how gratifying it was that everyone else liked it too.”
Jackman added, “It’s been 24 years since I first played Wolverine. Watching this film with all of Hall H tonight has been one of the most incredible experiences of my life.”
In Deadpool & Wolverine, Reynolds plays Deadpool and Jackman plays Wolverine. The story follows Deadpool as he brings Wolverine back to life with the help of a character named Mr. Paradox, played by Matthew Macfadyen.
Wolverine, now struggling with his own issues, must help stop a crisis caused by the villain Cassandra Nova, played by Emma Corrin. Reynolds and Jackman are great in their roles, mixing humor and action perfectly. Their on-screen chemistry is a major highlight of the movie. Cameos by Jennifer Garner, Channing Tatum, Chris Evans, and Wesley Snipes add even more fun.
Fans got Wolverine-themed popcorn buckets and saw a drone and fireworks show over Petco Park, featuring shapes of Deadpool and Wolverine. This immersive experience made the film’s fun and self-aware nature come to life.
Reynolds joked, “Can we skip the bullshit and just show the damn movie?” The audience erupted in cheers and laughter, setting the tone for the night.
“Deadpool & Wolverine” has received mostly positive reviews for its humor, performances, and clever jokes. Some critics mentioned the confusing plot, but the movie’s entertainment value is strong.
It is expected to make a lot of money at the box office, possibly breaking records for an R-rated film.
Director Shawn Levy made Deadpool & Wolverine easy to enjoy for both hardcore Marvel fans and casual viewers. The film’s humor and action don’t require deep knowledge of the characters, making it fun for everyone.
Levy said, “I very much made this film with a healthy respect and gratitude towards the rabid fan base that knows all the details. But I didn’t want to presume that. This movie is built for entertainment, with no obligation to come prepared with prior research.”
