At the annual Big Slick Celebrity Weekend in Kansas City, Missouri, there was a funny moment that got everyone talking about the future of one of Hollywood’s favorite couples.

On June 1, during a comedy skit, actor Jason Sudeikis, along with Robert Smigel and George Wendt, jokingly questioned NFL star Travis Kelce about his relationship with pop superstar Taylor Swift.

During the skit, Sudeikis, donning a fake mustache and sunglasses, cheekily asked Kelce, “Hey Travis, real talk OK, just the guys here … when are you going to make an honest woman out of her?”

The question was a clear reference to Swift, sparking loud cheers from the audience. Kelce, who appeared in good spirits, rubbed his beard and smiled but refrained from giving a direct answer.

The skit was part of a larger event aimed at raising funds for charity. Alongside Sudeikis and Kelce, the evening featured performances and appearances from several celebrities, including Paul Rudd, Fortune Feimster, and Heidi Gardner.

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes also joined in on the fun, adding to the star-studded lineup.

Kelce and Swift’s relationship became public in September 2023 when Swift attended a Kansas City Chiefs game. The couple has since been spotted together at various events, including a Saturday Night Live afterparty in October.

Despite their high-profile romance, the pair has largely kept details about their relationship private. However, Swift’s recent album, The Tortured Poets Department, is rumored to feature songs inspired by Kelce.

While Sudeikis and his co-stars pressed Kelce about his future plans with Swift, the football star skillfully deflected the questions with humor.

“Taylor doesn’t need to be working anymore,” Sudeikis quipped, referencing a controversial statement made by Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker about women and careers. Kelce, maintaining his composure, humorously responded, “Guys, you’re really pushing it.”

According to sources close to Kelce, while he deeply cares for Swift, he has no immediate plans to propose.

“Travis has no plans on proposing to Taylor anytime soon,” an insider revealed, emphasizing that marriage is something he takes very seriously. Another source added that the couple is still getting to know each other better, with no engagement on the horizon just yet.

Despite the couple’s reserved approach to their relationship, fans, affectionately known as Swifties, have speculated about an impending engagement.

Earlier in the year, rumors circulated that Kelce might propose on their one-year anniversary in July.

This speculation was fueled by an episode of the “New Heights” podcast where Kelce’s brother, Jason Kelce, made a subtle hint about a wedding.
