Kendrick Lamar lit up the stage at his Pop Out concert in Los Angeles on Wednesday night, performing a new verse in his diss track Euphoria aimed at Drake.

The event, held at the Kia Forum in Inglewood and streamed live by Amazon Music, showcased West Coast talent and marked a key moment in the ongoing feud between Lamar and Drake.

During “Euphoria,” Lamar rapped, “Give me Tupac’s ring back and I might give you a little respect,” referring to a ring once owned by Tupac Shakur that Drake bought at an auction, adding more heat to their rivalry.

Despite starting with some tension, the Juneteenth event focused on bringing Los Angeles artists together. Kendrick Lamar gathered over 25 performers from the city, including Dr. Dre, Tyler, the Creator, Schoolboy Q, Jay Rock, Ab-Soul, YG, Roddy Ricch, Ty Dolla $ign, Dom Kennedy, and Steve Lacy.

This mix of artists showed the concert’s two goals: addressing the feud and celebrating the strength of West Coast talent.

“This is unity, y’all just don’t know man,” Lamar said, capturing the spirit of the night with a group photo on stage.

The concert also honored fallen heroes, with DJ Mustard dedicating a moment to the late Nipsey Hussle.

This tribute highlighted the strong bonds in the Los Angeles music scene. Lamar reunited with his Black Hippy group members and brought out Dr. Dre, who performed hits like Still D.R.E. and California Love, mixing tributes with live performances and setting the stage for Lamar’s grand finale.

The rivalry with Drake was a key part of the night. Lamar performed Not Like Us, another diss track, five times, each time exciting the crowd, who chanted OV-hoe. This repeated performance showed Lamar’s skill with words and the public’s strong interest in the feud.

The sharp lyrics, like “Tryna strike a chord and it’s probably A minor,” really connected with the audience, making Lamar’s place in the feud even stronger.

The concert also attracted famous celebrities, such as NBA stars LeBron James, James Harden, Russell Westbrook, DeMar DeRozan, and Coby White. Their attendance highlighted how important the concert was and suggested they were backing Lamar in his feud with Drake.

Lamar even invited Westbrook and DeRozan onto the stage, bridging the gap between sports and music and showing how widely his performance resonated culturally.

While the night highlighted the feud with Drake, it also showcased Lamar’s commitment to West Coast unity and talent. The concert ended with Lamar promising more collaborations and events in the future.

“We put this together with peace… I promise this won’t be the last of us,” he declared, leaving the audience with a sense of anticipation for future endeavors.
