Even though TV networks wanted him to speak for less time during Whitney Houston’s funeral, Costner refused. He wanted to honor her properly.
When someone mentioned that CNN wanted shorter speeches to air commercials, Costner didn’t budge.
He said, “They can play commercials while I talk, I don’t mind.” This showed how much he cared about remembering Houston in the best way possible, speaking for a heartfelt 17 minutes straight.
