Patrick Mahomes, the celebrated quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs, recently shared that he will not be able to attend his 10-year high school reunion.

Speaking at the 2024 Super Bowl ring ceremony on June 13 at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City, He revealed that the reunion for his Whitehouse High School class in Texas is set for September. However, due to his demanding schedule, he won’t be joining the celebrations.

Mahomes, now 28, reminisced about his time at Whitehouse High School, where he met his wife Brittany, also 28. The couple are high school sweethearts; Brittany was a junior when Mahomes was a sophomore.

Reflecting on their shared past, Mahomes humorously noted that Brittany had already reached her 11-year reunion milestone, making her the “older” one in their relationship. While expressing his regrets about missing the event, he promised to send his best wishes to his classmates.

The announcement came during a significant event for Mahomes and his team. The Super Bowl ring ceremony celebrated the Kansas City Chiefs’ victory over the San Francisco 49ers with a score of 25-22 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on February 11, 2024.

This win marked the Chiefs’ second consecutive Super Bowl victory, following their triumph over the Philadelphia Eagles the previous year. Mahomes, who was named the Super Bowl 2024 MVP, stood alongside his teammates, including tight end Travis Kelce, as they received their rings in a glamorous event.

Brittany Mahomes shared some behind-the-scenes moments from the ceremony on her Instagram Stories, highlighting the couple’s joy and pride.

The ring ceremony was part of a week filled with celebrations for the Chiefs. Earlier, the team visited President Joe Biden at the White House to commemorate their Super Bowl win.

Biden praised the Chiefs for their back-to-back victories, the first team to achieve this feat in 20 years. He commended their resilience and ability to overcome challenges, reinforcing the notion that they were building a dynasty in the NFL. Biden’s remarks highlighted the team’s journey and the skepticism they faced along the way, acknowledging their determination and success.

As the Chiefs look forward to the new NFL season, which begins with training camp on July 23, Mahomes and Kelce are gearing up to lead the team to what they hope will be a third consecutive championship.

The mandatory mini-camp, which ran from June 10 to June 12, provided a brief period of downtime for the team before the intensive training begins.
